I'm fine moving to 2.0. |

It should be possible to change the regexp to work... |

That require less than 2 minutes so can't see why cannot be done for 2.0, knowing our current stage simply remove the option for UTF-8 Forums seems to be the best way to go. |

I just installed a fresh SMF 2.0 with UTF-8, and I'm unable to reproduce this, I added MMM => kkk to censored words, when I tried QKMMMSS it's converted to QKkkkSS, if I mark the whole word option I don't have the same result, the returned string contains the MMM, but if I just type MMM it's property converted to kkk. |

You might want to try with the exact example in the linked topic, the censored word has international characters which might show the problem. |

I tried with Ñ and ???? (isn't showned here but it's the same posted here: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=363219.msg2612760#msg2612760 [^]), and I had the same result. |

I do think it's dependent on PHP/PCRE version; the user who originally flagged this was having issues on a PHP 4 system. I can't seem to reproduce this on 5.2.13 myself. |

This should be moved to Saguaro then, I thought it was an issue that could be reproduced in every forum. |

Can we confirm this isn't an issue for >5.2.13? |

I have to repeat the tests, but it seems than it works if SMF is installed directly in UTF8, but it doesn't work on converted forums even on new posts. |
